I have known Dr. Thomson during the whole period of his stay (now nearly ten years) in this country, and can confidently state that his attainments in his profession are of a very high order. I have had the best grounds for forming this opinion from an intimate acquaintance with him, and from the testimonials which he has from time to time produced, and which I have had opportunities of perusing.
